Mary Laski a research assistant professor at Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College and a research principal at the Center on Reinventing Public Education at Arizona State University, where her research focuses on the educator workforce. Laski is the principal investigator on research projects pertaining to ASU’s Next Education Workforce Initiative, which focuses on redesigning education for learners and educators. Her research focuses on teacher quality, teacher labor markets, and the principal’s role in school improvement. Much of her previous work involves partnerships with state and local education agencies, including partnerships with the Tennessee Department of Education, the Mississippi Department of Education, and Oakland Unified School District.
Laski received her Ph.D. from Harvard University. While at Harvard, she also received the Partnering in Education Research Fellowship from the Center for Education Policy Research and the Linda G. Hammett Ory Fellowship from the EdRedesign Lab. She holds both an A.M. in Urban Education Policy and an A.B. in Economics and American Studies from Brown University.
