Jeannie Myung, Managing Director of Getting Down to Facts II, oversaw the development and coordination of the research conducted in the project. She is currently the Director of Policy Outreach at Policy Analysis for California Education (PACE). Prior to the project, she was at the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching where she was the founding director of the Student Agency Improvement Community, a network of networked improvement communities that employed the continuous improvement methodology to develop the social-emotional factors that students need to academically succeed. As the managing editor of the Carnegie Knowledge Network, she led the development of rigorous and accessible information on the measurement of effective teaching. As the director of the Advancing Teaching - Improving Learning Program at the Carnegie Foundation she led efforts to inform the development of effective information systems to advance quality teaching. She has published research on teacher and principal recruitment, retention, and development. She completed her PhD in Administration and Policy Analysis at Stanford University and her Bachelor's degree in Political Science at Yale University. Jeannie is a former public elementary school teacher.
