Lisa Towne
Lisa Towne is an independent consultant with more than 25 years of experience working at the intersection of education policy and research from Prek through the transition from college to career. She has served at the US Department of Education, White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, the National Research Council, and Education First Consulting. Her primary expertise is in building and facilitating partnerships within and across organizations to create systems change, and has applied those skills in a range of content areas, including teacher preparation, high school redesign, TK-8 math, and young multilingual learners. Lisa has a BS in Mathematics from the University of Vermont and a MPP from Georgetown University. She taught statistics and research methods at both Georgetown and Johns Hopkins University.
